Repair Markers
Great suggestion. I just reblogged it!
I definately need to get some of these... thanks for the tip. Can you believe I actually recently used a brown Sharpie to fill in some scratches on my bar stools?
Gretchen
Thanks for the tip about the cats..... My dad bought me a leather couch and chair for my 50 th Birthday and one of the cats is attacking the chair.... It is very annoying....
Maureen....and here I thought I'd be the first COMMENT! GREAT advice....these are little "miracle" workers for sure!!
Debbie ~ get these markers for any scratches on wood, and Surefit covers for upholstery!
John ~ Run out and get them, quick!!
Gretchen and Mel ~ brown Sharpies work too, but these might be better. I found them at Lowe's.
Kathy ~ I can't imagine doing a staging job without them. They really come in handy!
Maureen, these are absolutely the best-I use them in my own home as well. Great tip for everyone!
You got me. I thought you were going to say Restor-A-Finish, :) I'll have to check out those little markers!
Joanna ~ I use them at home, too! They really get the job done, don't they?
Kim ~ Howard's Restor-A-Finish is my other "go to" product for larger items. It's the best!
Hi Maureen--okay they haven't shipped these little devils to Maui yet. I was looking for these a few months back and had to settle for something else. Think I will follow your suggestion and order them online. Thanks.
Hi Janet ~ Go ahead, order online and you'll have them for a long time. I find them so handy for making scratched furniture legs and picture frames look like new again!
Maureen - Well, I guess the cat is out of the bag and this top secret has been divulged! Yes, along with shoe polish, these little babies do the trick!
I also have these Maureen but find I use my black sharpie the most. It seems many of the others are never dark enough.....I don't know, just me?
These are great Maureen! Thanks for sharing!!
Maureen - thanks for sharing your "secret weapon"! The first place I'm going to use it is on my own furniture! It makes me crazy when I get a scratch and it sticks out like a sore thumb. Thanks for the tip and I'm going to order it before the days end!
Maureen, love these types of tips here on AR. The last time that I pulled out my cover-up sticks and markers they were dry so it's time for some new ones. Will put these on the Home Depot and Lowes list. Thanks!
Sally ~ Oh no the cat's out! I think homeowners will still need us, though :-)
Shar ~ I use the black Sharpie a LOT but sometimes its just too dark. I used the maple and oak ones here for some floor touch-ups and they were perfect!
Karen ~ It's so easy to carry this package around in your staging tool kit.
Kristine ~ That's right, to me the best advantage to these is that they prevent a flaw or ding from standing out any longer!
Ginger ~ give these a try, I'm sure you'll like them! They don't get dry like my old ones did.
Okay Maureen ... you just confirmed it once again. You ARE a genius and a miracle-worker. Absolutely fantastic tip here with this product ...
Happy Holidays to you and yours, Maureen! Enjoy, be healthy, and keep on blogging into the New Year!
Gene
Maureen, I have one in my Staging Tote bag;-) I bought it couple years ago and at that point I had only one choice dark brown. I didn't know that there are 6 different colors now.
Gene ~ I just know from experience that anyone with furniture or wood floors could use this product! Wishing you and your family all the best for 2012!! We'll keep blogging away :-)
Anna ~ Now you can have any color you need when helping clients touch up cabinets, furniture, flooring, etc. They really are a great tool.
Hi Maureen, I wanted to stop by your blog and I'm so glad I did today. I'm bookmarking this great tip!

I haven't seen these, I've got the Guardsman brand markers. I have quite an assortment of markers, pens, erasers, etc. in my bag of tricks!
I appreciate your touch up tips.

Hi Cindy ~ Give these a try ... they work really well compared to some of the others I've tried.
Hi Roy ~ Another gorgeous photo -- thank you!!
I have some markers, not sure what brand they are....but they always do the trick. Read this tip online recently too:
Crack open a fresh walnut, rub the nut on the scratch and watch the nuts' oil fade the mark.
Maureen -- I have used these. They work great. Awesome tip.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas. May peace, joy, hope and love be the gifts you receive and may they be the gifts you bestow to others this Christmas.
Hi Sharon ~ Hey I love your tip with the walnut! I'll give that one a try.
Hi Barbara ~ Glad to hear that these markers worked well for you, too. I used one last week on a floor scratch and you couldn't even see where it had been.
Thank you for the nice Christmas wishes ... may you and your family enjoy this special holiday. Wishing you many blessings in 2012!
Maureen, I can see I've got to get some of these. Have a very Merry Christmas!!
Maureen, I just stepped by to with you and your family a very Merry Christmas!
Hi Tammie ~ You'll find them helpful around the house for sure --- hope you're having a very Merry Christmas too!!
Hi Anna ~ Very sweet of you to drop by ... best wishes to you and yours for a Happy Christmas!!
