Maureen, what a difference.  Using large pieces of art really anchored the furniture beautifully-there is no question that you are a pro and that even an "okay" house can be transformed.

Thanks, Joanna.  I love to use larger-size art for just that reason, to anchor the furniture arrangement and enhance the setting.

I love the addition of the rug in the living room and the removal of the rug in the dining room!  All those scattered small pieces of art on the walls was distracting...so much better with the larger pieces!  Such a beautiful home!  

Hi Sharon ~ The many small art pieces are, as you said, distracting from the home's best features.    Adding an area rug in the living room helped anchor the seating arrangement and added warmth, so I'm happy to hear you approve  :-)

You're right, this is a beautiful home but was not being presented in its best light.

Maureen....DRAMATIC difference!!  The Living Room was transported into this century!!  And the Dining Room is now an inviting place to relax and enjoy a meal!  WOW!!  What a difference a Staging Makes!!

Hi Kathy ~ As professional stagers, we see time and time again that staging a home for buyers makes a difference.  Even though the house itself looks the same, the dated furnishings made the house look tired and not as move-in ready as the updated, staged version.

Maureen- excellent as always.  I love the color in the living room, was that the original color?  If so, then your staging, adding the panels, the pops of red really warm up the room and give it an updated look.  Great staging, Maureen!

Maureen -- I LOVE your 'afters'! What a transformation.  You certainly have the talent for adding pizazz to the very 'blah'. Those photos definitely DO speak for themselves.  Nice work!

Maureen, another proof that for the better results, owner has to move out and take his furniture with him ;-)

(And frankly, if you'd said door #1, I'd have to sit down and have a serious talk with you LOL!!)

Hi Maureen--really, you don't think buyers would love those purple living room chairs or the navy blue area rug on the wall-to-wall carpet with the maroonish wall?  I had no idea!  Seriously, I knew there were new Maureen staging pictures coming and your work says it all.  It's gorgeous as ever. 

Wow Maureen...you don't need to even say a word in your blogs...you can just let the pictures tell the story!!  Amazing difference.  It's also interesting how much more open the living room appears just by getting rid of the  droopy valance.  Doesn't look like the same home!

100% improvement throughout!!  I would bet that the sellers are going to really enjoy their Thanksgiving living in what appears to be a NEW house before it quickly sells.  Top notch again Maureen!

I miss a few days in the rain and click on your blog to see what you've been up to and once again I am blown away by your talent! To your point, the before/afters speak for themselves! You can say anything you want about what a great stager you are, but the proof is in our portfolios and you are the best Maureen and I'm always glad we're not competing in the same market - lol!

There are a lot of very talented stagers on AR, but you are one of the best! You took this dated, dreary home and transformed it into a beautiful, updated, warm, bright home that anyone can see themselves living in and that's the whole objective of staging. Kudos to you and another amazing transformation!
