Never let it be said that the Music Booster Club at Central Community Unit School District 301 leaves any stone ... or manure ... unturned to raise funds. The Club is co-hosting a fundraising event this Saturday, April 10th in which they are selling "fertilizer".

The Booster Club is teaming up with Inspiration Farm Alpacas' owner, Jeff Koehl to sell "paca poo" for the second year. Last year's "poo" fundraiser made $600 for the group. This year they hope to do even better.
The "paca poo" sold (which is actually a pellet-like dropping) is pure profit, as the farm donates the fertilizer to the benefit of the Booster group. Proceeds of this fundraiser are used to support the instrumental and vocal programs offered within the district.

School teachers, kids, and parents will be available to scoop fresh "paca poo" for customers on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:00 (Noon) at the Inspiration Farm Alpacas: 6N925 Glenview Drive located in unincorporated St. Charles, IL. Pre-orders can be made through the website: central.music.boosters@gmail.com and picked-up on Saturday during the set sale hours. Delivery can also be made for customers that live close by. It can't get any easier!

A 30 pound bag of the fertilizer has a cost of $10.00. Because alpacas physically digest food much more efficiently that other farm animals, the waste they produce smells less and requires shorter composting time. The "paca poo" can be poured directly into your garden for tilling and immediate use.
Think about going online today and placing an order ... or stopping by Inspiration Farm Alpacas in St. Charles tomorrow. The musicians will appreciate it!

Whoops, it's Burlington School District #301. It happens to include some areas that have a St. Charles mailing address, including areas of Campton Hills, Lily Lake, Unincorporated Kane County. Plus, of course, unicorporated St. Charles! Confusing every day! I'll be showing at least 10 houses within 5 miles of this address on Saturday, is paca poo smelly? Can it ride around in the car while we're out showing? Probably not. Let me know if they can save me a bag or two and I'll get it next week!
Gene, somehow this post is making me smile! My dad once got a huge quantity of Zoo Doo from the National Zoo, and thier front yard looked just wonderful.
Hi Gene! Thanks for stopping in looking after me in my absence! Have a great week!
Gene-
We have some friends who own an Alpaca farm in South Elgin. They pay some kid to come and scoop up the neat pile every week. I wonder what they do with it.

Pat: "Zoo DOO"??? Gotta love it! I'm sure their yard was amazing. Gotta tell ya ... I'm chuckling. Zoo Doo and Paca Poo. Who would have ever thought we'd be exchanging comments on AR about THAT????
Diane: Just was checking on you. Haven't seen you as much, so a little concerned. I hope you keep in mind ... if I can be of any assistance in any way ... I'm just a phone call away. I found a jewel here on AR ... don't want to lose touch.
Rich: Maybe the "Paca Poo" fundraiser for the music boosters could be replicated for a group you're involved in? Sounds like a win-win situation for all involved. A novel, fun money-maker for the group and a clean barn for the farmer! Let me know if you decide to do anything with your friend ...
Gene
Gene, nice post. It's so good help promote the local fundraiser. Good job! Some information here as well. I'm going to look into this as I get ready to plant my tomatoes!
Jim: The article sure made it seem like this "paca poo" is good stuff ... and can immediately be used (without falling over from the smell). Hope you give it a try ... and report back ...
Thanks for writing, Jim ...
