Baird&Warner Will Make a Difference in St Charles in 2011

Leslie Ebersole, of Baird & Warner Real Estate Fox Valley, passes on some timely and important information, especially for those in the Chicagoland region.

In the midwest, cold weather is just around the corner.  The current recession has brought hardship to many of our residents.  Baird & Warner's winter clothing/coat collection and other charity drives will address a very real need for Chicagoland area families, as well as those elsewhere.

Think of taking part in this drive ... or in one of the other volunteer or charity events Leslie Ebersole has provided information about.  You'll be making the life of someone else more comfortable and possibly even saving a life.  That in turn will make YOU feel much better too ...

Thanks Leslie for the great info ...

Gene

National Make a Difference Day is October 22 this year, when millions of volunteers will donate their time to make a difference in their communities. As the economy continues to struggle, more families need help to feed and clothe their children. Baird & Warner will collect coats and warm winter clothing through out the month at their 22 offices and at Open Houses throughout the month. Here's our office locations if you would like to donate, or give me a call at (630)945-7935 and I'll arrange to have your donation picked up.

In 2006, Baird & Warner received the “National Make A Difference Day Award” from USA Weekend and the Paul Newman Foundation. That year my kids and I helped collect food for the Northern Illinois Food Bank.

Like last year, the agents of the Fox Valley Office in St Charles will be packing food at Feed My Starving Children.

FMSC packages and distributes over 100 million meals to children in over 70 countries. All meals are packaged by volunteers. 100% of the funds needed for this program are donated; FMSC keeps their administration expenses to an astonishingly low 6%.

Each bag contain a highly nutritious mix of rice, soy nuggets, vitamins and minerals, and dehydrated vegetables that when cooked with boiling water provides six meals for children who might not otherwise eat that day.
