Never let it be said that the Music Booster Club at Central Community Unit School District 301 leaves any stone ... or manure ... unturned to raise funds. The Club is co-hosting a fundraising event this Saturday, April 10th in which they are selling "fertilizer".
The Booster Club is teaming up with Inspiration Farm Alpacas' owner, Jeff Koehl to sell "paca poo" for the second year. Last year's "poo" fundraiser made $600 for the group. This year they hope to do even better.
The "paca poo" sold (which is actually a pellet-like dropping) is pure profit, as the farm donates the fertilizer to the benefit of the Booster group. Proceeds of this fundraiser are used to support the instrumental and vocal programs offered within the district.
School teachers, kids, and parents will be available to scoop fresh "paca poo" for customers on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:00 (Noon) at the Inspiration Farm Alpacas: 6N925 Glenview Drive located in unincorporated St. Charles, IL. Pre-orders can be made through the website: central.music.boosters@gmail.com and picked-up on Saturday during the set sale hours. Delivery can also be made for customers that live close by. It can't get any easier!
A 30 pound bag of the fertilizer has a cost of $10.00. Because alpacas physically digest food much more efficiently that other farm animals, the waste they produce smells less and requires shorter composting time. The "paca poo" can be poured directly into your garden for tilling and immediate use.
