How do you earn someone's business?


 
     Something that often gets overlooked is simply asking for it.  I know that sounds very elementary.  Too simplistic.  But it's true.  Many businesses and business people (me included) forget that very important and basic step.  We simply forget to ASK for your business!
 
     Now it's obvious that the asking needs to be tied into something valuable and concrete.  Like good service.  Great product.  An unique product.  Information.  Or all of those things together.  No, you don't get business by just wanting it.  It has to be earned.
 
     I need to always make you, my clients .. my referral partners, aware that I truly want your business.  That I want to help you. Want to guide you. Want to work with you.  I want and need to build a good business relationship between us.  One that is mutually beneficial.
 
     And that means I have to ask.  Personally ask.  Pick-up the phone.  Skype, face-to-face, etc.  Have a continuing dialogue. Reach-out consistently with information that is helpful and personally meaningful  to you as an individual.  Continually build upon what we have built prior.

     I can't assume that you know that I consider our relationship  important.  I can't hope that you will react to my other forms of marketing.  I have to ask you personally in some way.  And then I have to back the asking up with the best advice, best service, and most successful actions that I can as your mortgage lender.
 
    Asking is a form of respect that I show you.  It offers a great opportunity for both you and me.  An opportunity to share information. Both of us have to be willing to ask questions and should do so often ... and continually ...
